Substance Use Among Pregnant and Postpartum People Living with HIV
Some pregnant or postpartum people may take cannabis thinking it is safe, or they may be prescribed an opioid for pain management. However, both cannabis and opioids can carry risks for the baby. We wanted to understand more about opioid and cannabis use in pregnancy and after birth, and we wondered if we might see differences where cannabis is legal.
