Infographics

Each individual paper published in PHACS provides critical insights into the long-term health of children and young adults born with or exposed to HIV. But it's also important to take a step back and look at the big picture. Click on each infographic below to read about broad, big-picture findings in PHACS from each Working Group's area of focus, synthesizing results from many individual studies.

SMARTT Study Research Highlights

The SMARTT Study Research Highlights resources commemorates the SMARTT study reaching a major milestone of enrolling over 5,000 children from across the country in 2023! These participants and their families have helped us advance the science of understanding exposure to antiretrovirals and HIV in the womb by attending study visits, donating blood and tissue samples, answering surveys, and many other ways. We thank our participants, community groups, site staff, and researchers for the dedication, effort, and commitment to this important research, which has helped shape our understanding of and improve care for families affected by HIV.
